ASU!!!

I applied for Law School back in November for early admissions and the deadline is the end of January. I hadn't heard anything yet and I was feeling a little anxious because with the housing market and economy I wanted to secure my job for next year if I needed to work. With the lovely education reform passed by the Arizona congress members I wasn't sure what the job market would be like next year.

I called up ASU to ask when I could expect to hear. The wonderful lady at ASU offered to look up my information. As she was taking down my information she stopped and asked to put me on hold. Then the Dean of Admissions picked up the phone and said she had overheard her assistant mention my name. She remembered my name and application (they receive at least 500 for early admissions) and wanted to personally congratulate me and let me know that I would be receiving a letter of acceptance and that if there was anything I needed help with she would personally meet with me to help out. I was in shock and started crying. I have never been so happy or scared.

I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last post. It was a surprising month in a lot of ways, but very enlightening. Right now we are focused on getting in a better financial position. We are both blessed to have good jobs in this economy.

The kids had a great Christmas, we made it up to my parents in Show Low, and down to Adam's parents in Yuma. The kids had a blast with all their cousins and were spoiled rotten. We are getting ready to get back into the swing of things...work and school start on Monday.

Lillian and Titus have been really great about playing together. The other day they walked through the grocery store shouting "were stuck together, we love each other" and walking with their arms around each other, even though they kept falling down.

Serena has started talking...she came up to me one day and said "I want to eat now," she has also said "help please," I want that," "that's mine" and a few other sentences. It is really funny because she went from babbling to sentences without doing more than mama and Dada in between. She always waits until she feels she has mastered a skill before showing off.

I am on the last leg of waiting to hear from ASU Law. Hopefully it is good news, but I also realize that if I get an no, then that is the answer I have been praying for. Then I will start on getting my master's in Accounting online. It is funny because six months ago I felt so lost, now I am torn between two great and exciting possibilities.

Christmas songs

Lillian and Titus are getting ready for their "Elf" Christmas costume with preschool. Lillian sang me her favorite song.

"We wish you a fairy christmas,
We wish you a fairy christmas,

And a happy two years."

she then asked "Do you know the happy two years song mom?" So with a straight face I replied yes, and then she had me sing it for her. I love her version and hope everyone has a happy two years.

Titus is getting big, he is turning in to quite the boy now. Last night he tried to climb the stack of bins I had in his room to sleep up high in one of the bins. He then smiled his dimply smile and asked if he could sleep in my room after I told him he couldn't sleep in a bin.

Serena is growing so fast. She insisted on walking around the grocery store tonight and "helped"me shop...

December

I can't believe it is almost Christmas already...this year went by crazy fast.

Yesterday Lillian did the cutest thing. She came in our room last night and said "I can't handle this any more Serena is crying...she starts, she stops, she starts, she stops, she starts, she stops" While she is saying start she flips her hand and hip one way and when she said stop she flip her hand and hip the other direction. It was super cute. then she said "can you please come and get her so I can sleep." She is excited for Christmas and wants Santa to bring her a Cinderella dress.

Titus is turning into a three year old he loves to torment people. I caught him sleeping with his train the other day so I am looking into getting a train table with out spending over 100 on it. The other day he told me that his yellow car makes him happy like this

Serena is getting big and walking so good. Her preschool teachers love her so much. Last night she let me cuddle her until she fell back asleep after she woke up in the middle of the night. Her favorite foods are Bananas and Pizza, and she loves to drink out of a big girl cup. She loves to play chase games and giggles so hard when i catch her.

I was just going to have the kids use dress up clothes for generic costumes, but the night before Halloween I had a guilt trip. One of the kid's favorite movies is The Incredibles. They had already started calling each other by the names of the Incredibles family. So I managed to pull the costumes together. They got dressed up for preschool and then we went and visited Dad at work. They had so much fun. We finished the night off watching "The Incredibles" movie and eating candy in Mom and Dad's bed.

9/23/2008. We were driving home from the mountain and the kids were exhausted. We pulled over for a breather and a walk. They were so cute each walking on their "own road." They climbed back in the car and we had a nice drive back home.

Because facebook and myspace were not enough

Since so many of my friends have left myspace, and my family joined blogspot I have finally given up and now have blogspot account too. I will post my blogs for myspace over here next time I am on.

Things are going great with our family right now. Adam got back from his training in New Mexico...he had a lot of fun learning to make bombs and blowing up cars. He is looking forward to doing more Hazmat training and Clandestine (sp?) lab training. He has put a lot of work into the jet skis, but is looking forward to selling them so he can rebuild another stand up. We are hoping to take them out a few more times before it gets too cold. I am loving the 80-90 degree weather.

I am working at the school now as a PE teacher. It is quite the experience. I now plan on sending my kids to boarding school before sixth grade... Most of the kids are great, but I have had a few trials. It is getting better. The other teachers and administration are great. I enjoy getting out of the house, but miss the kids. I am still waiting to hear back from ASU about Law School. Hopefully I know by January.

Lillian is doing great. She is making new friends at school right now Madison and Hope are her best friends. She can be a little bossy, but is such a sweet and nice girl it makes up for it most of the time. She is such a little doll. She is very excited for Christmas and really gets the whole Santa thing this year. She is reading really well (when she wants too) and loves going to two schools. Miss Brett's and the "animal school" (One is a home based preschool and the other is her official preschool).

Titus is doing great at school. His clarity in speech has improved so much since starting preschool I wish I had enrolled him last year when he turned two. He is so cute. We were so excited. We finally had to go buy him new clothes. He has worn the same clothes for two years. He in 18-24 months sizes now. He is mostly weary 24 month for the length, unfortunately the pants fall right off if they don't have adjustable waist. He starts speech this month. He is writing his name now and is very protective of Serena at school.

Serena is finally officially walking! Yeah. She took 4-5 steps at 11 months and has refused to even try for me until this last week. Then she walked across the living room for daddy and decided to be a walking girl. Unless she can con mommy into carrying her everywhere. She likes to be able to cuddle as much as possible. She is such a little gabber now too. She responds very well to yes and no questions and often actually understands what we are saying. She loves to pound her chest like a gorilla when she wants more food and claps when she is done. I tried to teach her a few signs, but she just makes up her own. As long as we both understand what she wants that works for me.

I can't believe how fast they are growing, but we are enjoying almost every moment.
